This next piece is a three-part oil painting that captures the essence of my father playing the saxophone, an instrument that embodied his voice. As my second oil painting, it was deeply personal—I wanted to honor him and connect to his musical gift through my art. My father was a charismatic man who spoke few words, yet his true expression came alive through his saxophone. Each note he played carried emotion, strength, and volume. With this work, I aimed to convey the power of his music, using my paintbrush to mirror the energy and passion he poured into his craft. It’s a tribute to the bond between us, a reflection of how I, through visual art, connected to the art of sound that defined him.
